[ARCHIVED] Live Fire Training - Saturday, May 18th

House Fire

The Jackson Fire Department, in conjunction with the West Bend and Newburg Fire Departments, will be conducting a live fire training on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

As part of the training, they will be working with the Town of Jackson and the Washington County Highway Department to close Country Aire Drive from Cedar Creek Road to Pleasant Valley Road.  The approximate closure time is from 7AM - 3PM.  The roads will be reopened sooner, should smoke and heat conditions allow.  Adjacent property owners have been notified and will have accessed in and out of their driveways.

At times, there will be significant smoke in the area.  If the smoke affects neighboring property owners, they will extinguish the fire or alter the training to address the smoke conditions.  This training is subject to cooperative weather conditions and no other emergent calls.

It is important to remember that this is not a public event.  This is being shared informationally, there will be no need to call Washington County Dispatch about this fire.
